27.08.2016 WOC Women’s Relay: Russia win after many lead changes
Natalia Gemperle brought Russia first to the finish in an exciting women’s race in which many mistakes were made. Maja Alm came up from fifth to second place for Denmark, and Finland finished with the bronze medals. This is Russia’s first-ever women’s relay gold.

27.08.2016 WOC Men’s Relay: gold to Norway
The Norwegian team of Carl Godager Kaas, Olav Lundanes and Magne Dæhli ran very impressively throughout, holding a clear lead from the second control on leg 1 right through to the finish, to take the gold medals. Silver goes to Switzerland and bronze to Sweden.

27.08.2016 WTOC 2016: Slovakia and Sweden won the Relay titles
With the Swedish team showing all its strength, the TrailO Relay had an expected winner in the Paralympic class in the final competition of the 2016 World Trail Orienteering Championships. In the Open class, Slovakia was a wonderful surprise in taking the gold.

Slovakia was the surprise winner of the Open class in the first-ever official WTOC Relay competition. Sweden, the favourite for victory in the Paralympic class, duly took the gold there.

27.08.2016 WTOC 2016: Double gold for Sweden
At the end of Day 2 of the PreO competition, Martin Fredholm and Michael Johansson were the winners of the gold medals in the Open and Paralympic classes respectively. Both athletes repeated their excellent performances from the first day of this competition, tasting once more the sweet flavour of success.

26.08.2016 First Sprint WOC goes to Denmark
In 2020 the first Sprint WOC will be in Denmark. Sprint, Sprint Relay and a third format are on the program. The FootO Commission presented two variants of Knock-Out Sprint for the IOF Council as the third option.
