The Orienteering Achievement of 2013

13 athletes and 3 teams – from 13 different countries – are nominated for the annual poll to find the most impressive achievements in international orienteering. The poll is organized by World of O and voting is open until December 11th.

Winning a gold medal at the World Championships is always a fantastic achievement – but sometimes winning a Bronze medal can be an even bigger achievement– based on the starting point of the athletes. The stories behind the medals and the great achievements are what make the sport truly fascinating! In “The Orienteering Achievement of the Year” these stories are highlighted.

Among the nominated athletes and teams there are Simone Niggli, of course, Tove Alexandersson, Nadiya Volynska, Leonid Novikov, Vilius Aleliunas and the Austrian Mixed Relay team at The World Games.
