Team World Cup scores: Sweden has commanding lead
With three of the five counting relays now complete, Sweden holds a lead of 125 points with Switzerland in second place and Norway third.
With two Sprint Relay wins and the just-achieved triumph for their women’s relay team, Sweden tops the table in the Team World Cup standings. Switzerland, second-placed in the first World Cup Sprint Relay and a string of sound results otherwise, lie second with 18 points more than Norway, winners of today’s men’s relay. Russia are just 2 points down on Norway, then there is a gap of 36 points down to the next nation, Denmark.
Two events remain in this season’s competition: men’s and women’s relays in Latvia at the end of August and a Sprint Relay (World Cup Final) in Switzerland at the end of September.
Scores for all teams can be seen by clicking on ‘World Cup’ at the top of the liveorienteering.com or orienteering.org home pages, then on ‘Team World Cup Total Results’ in the files list to the right of the World Cup individual scores lists.
