IOF High Level Event Seminar to be held in Sweden

The IOF, in cooperation with the Swedish Orienteering Federation, is pleased to announce the IOF High Level Event Seminar to be held 1-2 February in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The five previous seminars have been organised in Oslo, Geneva, Prague, Venice and Edinburgh respectively, all very successful and attended by 40-50 persons each year from over 15 different nations. The seminar targets future organisers, potential future organisers and key persons of IOF High Level Events, including appointed IOF SEA’s. The national orienteering federations are kindly asked to identify and enter suitable candidates.

The HLES is focussing on organising events at the highest international level. The seminars have had different themes. In the 2014 edition of HLES we are introducing parallel sessions as part of the seminar, with focus on WOC 2013 experiences, IT – a cornerstone in today’s events, and organising a World Masters.

Among the lecturers there will be persons responsible for IOF events, experts on event-IT, leaders of earlier WOC projects, as well as IOF Senior Event Advisers. Sharing experience will be a central part of the seminar. For more information, please check the Clinics page.
