The international championships are coming like pearls on a string these weeks, and already on Friday the European Youth Orienteering Championships in Brno, Czechia begin.

The championships feature a long distance, a sprint and a relay, all run around Brno in the Moravia region in the southeastern corner of Czechia.

There are more than 400 participants from 36 countries, participating in classes W16, W18, M16 and M18 and each country can participate with four athletes in each class.

The long distance and the relay are run in the same physically demanding forest with hills and deep valleys in a karst terrain, which for the most part has good visibility and runnability.

The sprint, which takes place on Saturday, is run on the outskirts of Brno in a mixture of apartment buildings, sports fields and a park. One slope in the terrain has an elevation of up to 50 meters.

All three races will be available on a free live stream with English commentary. It brings you live footage from the forest and the arena, statistics, results, maps and live GPS tracking.
