Application for Young Leaders Academy 2026 is open

It is time to apply for one of the spots at the 2026-edition of the Young Leaders Academy (YLA), which will take place in northern Italy this summer from 27 June – 04 July.

The purpose of the IOF Young Leaders Academy (YLA) is to enable young orienteers aged 16–25 to develop their talents and leadership competencies.

It also provides an opportunity to network and make new friends within the global orienteering community.

During the day you will participate in the 5 Days-O stage race and support the organisers in various functions.

In the afternoon or evening there will be lectures and workshops focusing on improving personal orienteering, organisational and coaching skills.

Deadline for applications is 5 March 2026
