01.12.2013 Early start for Ski Orienteering World Cup
The first round of the 2013-2014 Ski Orienteering World Cup, consisting of four races at the ski resort Ylläs in the Kolari region of Finland, starts on Wednesday 4th December.

28.11.2013 Reminder: The IOF seeks a service provider for web-based IT service for managing events
Several national federations have developed web-based IT services for managing events, entries, results and reporting. These services have made competition organising more efficient and of better quality.

The IOF has decided to investigate the possibility to purchase similar services, based on the requirements identified by the IOF.

The Estonian Orienteering Federation has published the embargoed areas for the World Orienteering Championships 2017.

26.11.2013 Two new members to Ski Orienteering Athletes’ Commission
As Eduard Khrennikov (RUS) has decided to retire from the IOF Ski Orienteering Athletes' Commission, the Commission has appointed two new members to replace him: Tatiana Rvacheva (née Kozlova), Russia, and Klaus Csucs, Romania.

21.11.2013 Ski Orienteering Special Rules published
The IOF Council has approved Special Rules for Ski Orienteering World Ranking Events and the start allocation method to be used at World Ski Orienteering Championships, Regional Ski Orienteering Championships and Ski Orienteering World Cup.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Foundation Board has at its meeting this morning approved the new World Anti-Doping Code.

12.11.2013 Applications invited for IOF foot, MTB and trail orienteering events 2016-2018
The IOF invites all member federations to submit applications to organise IOF foot, MTB and trail orienteering events in the years 2016–2018. The applications must reach the IOF Office by 1 January 2014.

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) has awarded the Winter Universiade 2019 to Krasnoyarsk, Russia, and at the same time confirmed that ski orienteering will be one of the sports in Krasnoyarsk.
