“My hair is no problem!”

Raquel Fernandes de Lima is a special person – a person with hair styled in a way unlike anyone else’s at JWOC in Bulgaria.

For the first time Brazil is present at JWOC, with a team of two men and one woman.

“My goal? I want to have good races and enjoy myself”, Raquel Fernandes de Lima says. Like the others in the team, she is running outside Brazil for the first time. “It’s more hilly here than at home”, she says.

“This is an interesting experience”, Elaine de C. Cardoss Faria says. She is leader of the team and has also something extra to think about. Her son Joao Pedro Cardonso Camilo Jaber is in the team.

Raquel has been orienteering for nine years; she started at school. At JWOC she has her hair more up in the air than anyone else. It looks terrific! But how is it in green forests?

“It’s no problem at all. It’s going very well”, she smiles.
