11.07.2013 World Orienteering Championships, Middle qualification: 22 nations in women’s final
Twenty-two nations will be represented in the women’s final tomorrow afternoon, including Japan with a runner in a final for the first time this year.

Bulletin 1 for the 2015 World Championships, to be held from 1st to 8th August 2015 in Scotland, has been published and can be downloaded from the event website www.woc2015.org.

11.07.2013 IOF Press Conference today
The International Orienteering Federation will announce the appointment of the organisers for the World Masters Orienteering Championships and Junior World Orienteering Championships in 2016 on 11 July 2013 at 16:00 at Sokos Hotel Vuokatti, Sotkamo, Finland. 09.07.2013 World Orienteering Championships, Long distance final: another gold for Niggli and Gueorgiou
Simone Niggli won World Championships gold medal number 22 in today’s Long distance final, running 13.4 km in 1:20:02 to win by 1 second under 3 minutes. Thierry Gueorgiou, France was a clear winner of the men’s race, his sublime technique and fitness earning him victory by 1 minute 18 seconds over home favourite Jani Lakanen.
